In the first session, Cesetti took the provisional pole with 46.785 in front of Ardigo with 46.838. Thonon, well recovered from his accident at the Winter Cup, posted 46.847 anf Toman took fifth place. Norman
Nato had the seventh fastest time after being embarassed by his team-mate Toninelli, then hit by De Brabander.
Varutti is ninth, having spared his engine from overheating, before Abbasse who would have liked another lap to get a clear run and set a better time. Fore was only 13th with 47.110. Gianni Gazzurelli was beset by problems adjusting the chassis so was on merely 47.711, but was on the verge of making it a 47.3. However, he did confirm the 2G Racing engines are fit for KF1.
In the second session, Catt and Stevens led with 46.639 and 46.644 respectively. Arnaud Kozlinski took third place with 46.865. Florian Alfano is fifth and sixth placed Armand Convers had no complaints.
Jeremy Iglesias fell victim to a broken engine but still finished up eighth.
Overall, Catt was fastest, in front of Stevens, Cesetti, Thonon and Kozlinski.
The first five of each session will meet for the Super Pole, which is new to the WSK, before starting the heats.
