Kirkwood and Harvey the winners and Kirkwood leads
The vast majority of drivers in the first heat on Friday morning in Junior, A / D, took the risk to go out on slicks, the line having had time to dry. However, the inside of the first corner was wetter than the outside. The start went pretty well, except for Coltin McCaughan and a few others. Kyle Kirkwood (USA) took the lead ahead of Jüri Vips (EST), Ricardo Garcia (ESP) was third by nearly 2”, closely followed by Guan Yu Zhou (GBR). Josh Price (GBR) returned strongly. Zhou took third position with a lap to go. Kirkwood won ahead of Vips. Price finished ninth.
It started to rain for heat B / C. Tom Harvey (GBR) started from pole ahead of Joseph Burton-Harris (AUS), Sena Sakaguchi (JPN) in 3rd more than 3” back with Jeffrey Kingsley (CAN), Thomas Issa (JAM) and Thomas Preining (AUT) at his heels. Bastien Leguay (FRA) came back to 13th after a difficult start. Preining grabbed 3rd place in front of Sakaguchi and Issa. Leguay fell to 26th position. Harvey won, Burton-Harris was 2nd and Preining 3rd. Kingsley finished 7th.
Kyle Kirkwood ended up in first place after the Junior heats with 4 points, ahead of Jeffrey Kingsley who finished in the rain. Jüri Vips was third ahead of Thomas Issa and Juan Correa. Bastien Leguay qualified in 17th place. Mission almost impossible for Josh Price, 55th and Jai Nijar 64th.
