Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) had 1st place in the first session with Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) close in the first session of KZ2 qualifying at Lonato. Mirko Torsellini (Ricciardo / TM) then took the lead, Ardigo responded, and Davide Fore (CRG / TM) took 3rd. The top four were within less than 5/100 and changed positions on each lap. Massimo Dante (Maranello / TM) and Giacomo Pollini (CKR / TM) joined in the fight. Ardigo used his skill to return to 6/100 second of Pollini who drove a remarkable lap of 43”026. Dante ended up in 3rd with Kozlinski 4th, Torsellini 5th, Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter) 6th, Fore 7th and Lorenzo Camplese (Formula K / Parilla) 8th.
Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) was ahead in the second session, and then Guust Specken (Gillard / TM) took control followed by Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter) and Fabian Federer (Maranello / Maxter). Puhakka finished fastest with a time of 43”199 ahead of Specken and Federer. Laurent finished 4th ahead of Luca Tilloca (Intrepid / Modena).
Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took control of the 3rd session from Andrea Dale ‘(CRG / Maxter), Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla). Camponeschi was able to drop below 43”. Dale finished 2nd from Corberi with Tuomas Tujula (Croc Promotion / TM) 4th and Ben Hanley (Croc Promotion / TM) 5th.
Overall, Camponeschi’s time of 42”850 remains the absolute benchmark. Pollini was second, Dale 3rd, Ardigo 4th, Dante 5th, Kozlinski 6th and Corberi 7th.
