The fine weather stayed at Muro Leccese on Sunday early in the afternoon despite the strong wind and light cloud cover. Paul Aron (FA Kart / Vortex) led the first lap of the OK-Junior Final of the WSK Super Master Series, ahead of Laurens Van Hoepen (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Hadrien David (Kosmic / Vortex). Sami Meguetounif (Formula K / TM) was flattened on the start-finish line and had to stop there. David settled in 2nd position a few lengths from Aron, Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG / TM) was 4th and Taylor Barnard (KR / Parilla) 5th. Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 6th ahead of Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Gabriel Mini (Parolin / TM). The top five were grouped 2″ away from the pack. David took control, Bortoleto replaced him immediately, Aron found himself 4th and Van Hoepen lost ground in 11th position. Smal had passed Beganovic for 5th place. David placed a daring attack on the 11th lap at the hairpin and went back in front of Aron. Bortoleto was becoming more threatening to the leader, but Aron also played his card on the last lap and David completed a great success by winning 1″ ahead of Bortoleto, Aron and Barnard who were within 2 tenths on the line. Beganovic finished 5th and Mini 6th. Loris Cabirou (Energy / TM) was 18th and Marcus Amand (KR / Parilla) 20th.
