TONY KART RACING TEAM
SUPERNATIONAL XI USA
Novembre 14-18, 2007
San Boid Stadium – Las Vegas, Nevada
“The race of the year”, this is the name given to the most longed-for event of the karting season overseas, the SuperNational of Las Vegas, came to its 11th edition.
Our Racing Team will be there competing in the Queen Class of the U.S. Karting, the Super Pro (Cik-Fia ICC), with Marco Ardigò.
The importance of the event in Las Vegas is testified by an entry-list of first level: in fact together with the best American drivers, we will find a big group of European top-drivers.
Our Team, immediately after the wonderful victory in Mariembourg, started to work hard for the races of the end of the season, among which the SuperNational of Las Vegas.
On the racing circuit obtained by the parking area in front of the Sam Boid Stadium in Las Vegas, Marco will be supported by our Racing Team and by the Staff of our American Partner Tony Kart U.S.A. Racing Team and the Drivers Danilo Dirani and Boswell Wesley.
For the World Champion it will be the first time in such an American event: this is for sure a big interest and an important incentive to learn how to face new situation, problems different from the ones we find in Europe. The biggest news is the circuit: for us it is very strange to dispute a titled race on a “urban-circuit”, a track of 0,83 miles, that means 1.300 meters with 17 curve, and most of them are on the right side (11).
Some of the aspects that will make this event even more binding are the high temperature in Nevada and the American fuel, which has different specification from the one used in Europe.
Our Racing Team will face the first of the two extra-European races of the end of the season: in fact after the SupeNationals, they will take part to the Asian race in Macau in December.
Giacomo Aliprandi – Tony Kart Racing Team Manager
“For the SuperNational we really worked hard and during the last couple of weeks we made many tests in order to get ready for this race .
As always, as per all the events we take part in, the Team took great care of everything and did not undervalue the event. Some of the main features of this race are a kind of news for us and this is surely a point of interest for us.
We are glad to collaborate side by side with our American brand: we will exchange useful information for both parties.”
Marco Ardigò – Driver Tony Kart Racing Team
“I have no idea about how a race take place in the States, especially if we talk about a urban circuit: that’s why I hope to adapt myself immediately to the new surroundings. The conditions will be different and we will have to understand the possible solutions and the set-up to adopt. Anyway, I am very happy to participate to a race in the States and I will try my best as always.
The season is not yet finished to me after the World Championship in a few days I’ll race in Las Vegas and in December we will fly to Macau.
After Mariembourg, I did not rest a little: I trained in the swimming pool, went jogging and when I had time I played football. In the past weeks I made the best training possible, cause I was at the track to prepare the American race!”
