The WSK has arrived at Angerville for the second race of the season, and is marked by the debut of KZ2 125cc gearbox. KF2 will not be there, leaving the circuit to KF1, KF3 and KZ2.
After a home event for the organisers at La Conca last month, the WSK machine moves to France this weekend, in the Essonne (91), at the famous Gabriel Thirouin International Circuit at Angerville. This will e one of the highlights of the season there before the European Championship in early May, and the event draws drivers anxious to prepare on the same circuit, in similar conditions and facing competition at the highest level. We expect around 200 drivers, 90 in F3, 50 in KF1 and 70 in KZ2, representing the world’s karting elite.
Among the youngest in KF3, the domination of the young Dutch driver Nyck De Vries will no doubt have spurred his opponents who will be reluctant to allow him to escape at the head of the classification of
the championship.
In KF1, the Tonykart drivers start as favourites once again, but drivers from CRG, Intrepid, Birel or Zanardi sometimes compete for the limelight.
Finally, in KZ2, the hierarchy for 2008 is not yet established. The prognosis is difficult as potential winners are numerous in probably the most competitive category of the weekend. Marco Ardigo, Jonathan Thonon, Alessandro Piccini, Francesco Laudato, Roberto Toninelli, Alessandro Manetti, Manuel Cozzaglio, Bas Lammers, Thomas Mich, Manuel Renaudie… A fine cast of champions.
