Two qualifying heats for KF1 were to run on Saturday, where Arnaud Kozlinski started each one on the front row. Two possibilities of victories for the CRG driver, but he scored only one hit.
In the first race, Kozlinski broke away and left Gary Catt to win before Armand Convers returned to the top, especially with hhis victory in SuperPole. Will Stevens completed the podium before Jason Parrott (who had the fastest lap with 49.072) and Matt Truelove, which is four out of five Britons in the leading positions. Alban Varutti took sixth place while his team mate at Sodi retired two laps from the end. Davide Fore edged into tenth place. Arno Santamato, shaken by some new passing methods, finished 21st.
Kozlinski took his revenge in the second heat. Jeremy Iglesias challenged him in a neck-and-neck battle, but by the time everything had calmed down Kozlinski had regained the lead and pulled out an imperious distance on his opponents. Guignet, who made a good start in this race, was losing ground, as was Iglesias. Alessandro Bressan took the second position while Mark Litchfield and Nikolaj Bollintoft fought. Nikolaj reached third place at the expense of the British driver. De Brabander fought like the devil but could do no better than eighth. Te Braak found this heat difficult and finished in 24th.
