The arrival of the rain has greatly complicated matters in KZ2 with a heat raced on slicks on a wet track, and the last race stopped after four laps with the first red flag and raced for the most part under a waved yellow flag and a “slow” becase of a serious accident at the start. Those who did best had an extra dose of luck…
Among those, Tony Lavanant still needed to draw heavily on his talent to finish third, especially making up ten places in two laps in the rain to get to fifth. Rick Dreezen, finishing first and third, is expected to qualify in a good position, as well as Norman Nato with fourth and fifth, or Andrea Benedetti with second and sixth, the same as Roberto Toninelli.
Thomas Mich won a heat, but lost ground in the rain. Jonathan Thonon also won a heat and was eighth in the other. Marco Ardigo also had a day of contrasts, with a second then difficulties when the rain came, and despite posting by far the fastest lap in the race finished 21st.
