There were few improvements during the second qualifying session in KF1 – only Arnaud Kozlinski, Jason Parrott, Gary Catt and Sauro Cesetti gaining ground. The ranking is quite different to what we saw earlier in the season with five different manufacturers in the top five.
Armand Convers (FR, PCR/TM) still holds on to the fastest time ahead of Jack Te Braak, Jean-Phillippe Guignet, Yannick De Brabander and Marco Ardigo. Many favourites are in the middle of the table: Catt
12th, Abbasse 17th, Fore 21st and Stevens 26th.
If Armand Convers concerned because it will inaugurate tomorrow morning the new procedure starting the CIK designed to make safer the first turns of each round in KF. So what’s new?
There will be no weaving, and two lines with marking that are not to be crossed with the speed limited to 40km/h before the start. The penalty will be a strict ten-second penalty. To enforce this, the CIK has equipped the circuit with seven cameras that show images directly to the sporting commission.
Is this the solution to avoid crashes at the start? The answer will be tomorrow at 11:50.
