Jonathan Thonon missed the start and lost a few places at the first corner while Bas Lammers took a large lead. Thomas Mich also made a superb start and second place. Norman Nato managed to get the better of his team mates to take third. Manuel Renaudie was on the attack, but Nato took holding him back in his stride. Then it was Manuel Cozzaglio in fifth position ahead of Roberto Toninelli and Thonon, who was very strong.
The positions remained stable for a few laps, but the differences were shrinking in the top four, who were all outpaced by Lammmers. Thonon took back a place from one of his opponents, but Mich seemed to have stalled and Nato took the opportunity to pass. However Mich didn’t give in and took back his position.
In the battle, Cozzaglio fell to Nato and Thonon was into second and narrowing the gap to Lammers but the Dutchman was sufficiently ahead so as not to fear the rebound of the Belgian. Also, Alessandro Piccini gained places and finished seventh, jut behind Renaudie.
The podium consisted of Lammers, Thonon and Mich.
