Davide Fore dominated in the Friday devoted to free practice. The weather for the World Cup at Suzuka was hot and for the time being beautiful.
The Maranello driver had the fastest time in nearly all of the day’s sessions. He often beat the Tonykarts of Marco Ardigo, Will Stevens and Gary Catt and was fastest at the end of the day, by 1.5 seconds on average. Only the Japanese driver Shoji Sato (FA Kart) approached him by four hundredths in the penultimate session. Davide concluded the day with 47″994.
But Tonykart were not far away in many sessions and Birel placed it’s drivers in third and fourth position in the last session, Libor Toman taking a sight advantage over Sauro Cesetti. The KF1 field is slightly smaller this year; with the absence of CRG, Intrepid and Sodikart keenly felt in a field of 18, including six local drivers.
Anyway, the Suzuka circuit is capable of providing beautiful races with it’s very fast but unusual layout encouraging numerous overtaking moves.
