The track was still wet for the first three KF2 sessions, but it has gradually improved aong with the times posted. The effect was significant by the third session.
In Group One, Flavio Camponeschi (IT, Tonykart/Vortex) who took pole with 1’04″761, three tenths ahead of Giacomo Patrono (IT, Birel/TM) and Petri Suvanto (FI, Tonykart/Vortex). Gaku Ishigama (JP, Tonykart/Vortex) took fourth, Wiliam Benedetti (FR, Kosmic/Vortex) fifth and Marco Zanchetta (IT, CRG/Maxter) sixth. Giaguaro Nero (IT, Maranello/IAME) took ninth ahead of Jack Harvey (GB, Birel/IAME).
Alban Authie (FR, Sodikart/IAME) was fastest in the second session – the Euro Karting driver is on a rapid ascent. Jose Cautela (PT, CRG/Maxter) followed 2.5 tenths behind, while Matteo Vigano seemed to already have the measure of the Zanardi chassis in third place. With too-high pressures, Sebastien Bailly (BE, Tonykart/Vortex) had to settle for seventh position. Zoel Amberg (CH, Birel/IAME) had some problems, incuding with his brakes, and only ranked 14th.
The third session was much faster than he previous two as Sami Luka (BE, CRG/Maxter) took pole with 1’01″923 done on slick tyres. Sami was the only driver to try this daring approach. However, the second fastest time from Jordan Chamberlain (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) was on wet tyres – 1’02″766 was two seconds faster than the second session. Two Belgian drivers joined the leaders: Sam Dejonghe (BE, Kosmic/Vortex) and Robin Frijns (BE, Birel/TM). Oliver Rowland (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) finished eighth, Joel Johansson (SE, Energy/TM) ninth, and championship leader Aniello Smarazzo (IT, Alonso/Vortex) 14th.
