The second qualifying heat of the day – the clouds are low and a few drops of rain fel before the start, but the race remained dry. Antonio Piccioni couldn’t start and Michael Ryall stopped and started on the rolling lap, but the start was given on the second time. Between Arnaud Kozlinski and Davide Fore on the front row, it was the Frenchman who took the advantage, with Jason Parrott infiltrating into second place. The British MGM driver attacked and passed Kozlinski on the second lap.
Nikolaj Bollingtoft was hunting with a group consisting of Alban Varutti, Matt Truelove, Tomas Eidjord and Matias Laine. Meanwhile, Gianni Gazurelli was losing ground and hoping for rain. Michael Ryall began a good run but Bollingtoft recived a penalty due to an incorrect start. Kozinski retook the lead in turn three and in mid race there were four duels: Kozlinski/Parrott, Bollingtoft/Fore, Varutti/Truelove and Eidjord/De Brabander.
Parrott retook first, De Brabander passed Eidjord and got closer to Varutti, who took Truelove. Bollingtoft found a gap beside Fore in turn eight and De Brabander disposed of Varutti. On the last lap, Fore retook third position and Bollingtoft showed he was not pleased. Laine threatened Varutti who fought back. The Finn didn’t like it and pushed Varutti after the finish line, but the Tonykart driver ended up in the grass.
Parrott won the race ahead of Kozlinski, Fore and Bollingtoft but there may be penalties for some: De Brabander, Varutti and Laine have been excluded.
