On the front row alongside Marco Ardigo, Jonathan Thonon made a cautious start and was passed by Manuel Renaudie and Gianluca Cane. But Jonathan retook his two opponents while they were fighting. Jose Perez, fourth after Cane’s retirement, was threatening before being overtaken by Norman Nato, who had also taken Thomas Mich. This was the major group in the race.

Ardigo controlled the situation by increasing the speed when he felt the pressure from Thonon. Alessandro Piccini moved up to seventh after overtaking Bas Lammers. Mich stayed with Nato but he resisted until the line.
The faultless victory went to Ardigo ahead of Jonathan Thonon. A good third place went to Manuel Renaudie Dreezen was fourth, Nato fifth, Mich sixth, Piccini seventh, Perez eighth, Manetti ninth and Lammers 10th.
