Since his victory at this track three weeks ago in the WSK, Sauro Cesetti on his Birel/TM became a major favourite for the KF1 title. In the last qualifying heat, he made an inpressive comeback to victory, and he must regret his retirement after a mechanical breakage in the last race.
Armand Convers took the lead from the start ahead of Davide Fore and Jack Te Braak. Marco Ardigo took advantage of his place on the second row early in the race. Cesetti was then seventh. Matias Laine in fourth attacked and passed Te Braak. The latter also lost out to Cesetti and then Ardigo. Arnaud Kozlinski was in seventh, ahead of Jason Parrott and Nikolaj Bollingtoft.
Cesetti attacked Laine on the fifth lap, then Fore who started to have problems. Now in second place, he very quickly closed on Convers. Laine was able to stay ahead of Ardigo. Visibly hampered by his kart, Fore gradually conceded places to finish ninth.
An overwhelming victory for Cesetti ahead of Convers, Laine, Ardigo and Kozlinski.
