The front row was all Energy with Tony Lavanant on pole and Kevin Jansen to his left. Joey Hanssen moved in to second but the real surprise was from Hawksworth who lost all his chances rubbing with Mathias Gallepe. It was a retirement for the British driver.
It was a crazy race. Lavanant took off but there was war in the group of pursuers. It started with the battle between Gianluca Cane and Joffrey Demanse. We have sometimes seen the overenthusiasm of the Italian driver and after some contact Demanse took advantage and joined the tro of Joey Hanssen, Kevin Jansen and Mathias Gallepe. The group of four drivers all received warnings during the race.
Hanssen was at the head of the group and although he wasn’t the fastest Jansen was more occupied with preventing his opponents from passing than attacking Hanssen. So of course everyone was energised. Gallepe first let Demanse by and he went on to attack Jansen but he was unbeatable. It was resolved after a clash that slowed Demanse and even more so Jansen and benefited Gallepe. The battle had long attracted pubic attention and now it attracted that of the officials.
Lavanant took a masterful victory with Hanssen second and Gallepe third.
Victory masterly of Lavanant, Hanssen Gallepe second and 3rd.
