As in KF2, it was the first out of three sessions of timed practice that produced the poleman in KF3. The more time that passes, the more times increase as the temperature rises. Lorenzo Camplese (FA Kart / TM) was the fastest at 1’08”505. In the second session, Brandon Maïsano (Intrepid / TM) took a place on the front row by less than two tenths. The Swedish driver Mans Grenhagen (Energy / TM) wasthird, the Russian Sergei Sirotkin (TonyKart / XTR) fourth. Kevin Ceccon ranked sixth, Aaro Vainio tenth. Riccardo Agostini was the 12th ahead of Carlos Sainz. Third in his session, Nyck De Vries was 17th overall.
Impressive last week in Gothenburg for the European qualifications, Veli-Pekka Karttunen posted the 23rd fastest lap. Matteo Beretta was 25th, Russians Kyvat and Zimin, 27th and 28th, Mackenzie Taylor 33rd, Max Goff 35th, Joni Wiman 42nd, Kevin Petit 45th. With only two laps out on the track, Ignazio D’Agosto is at a disadvantage after taking the 64th position.
