Davide Fore chose KF1 and did not compete in the European KZ1 Championship; however he and his Maranello Team wanted to achieve a great performance to show all the qualities of their equipment in this gearbox category. Unfortunately, after a brilliant performance in timed qualifying Fore had some problems during a heat, but managed to climbed back up from 12th to 6th in the pre-final, with the second best lap time in race. In the final, the Italian driver set even better times with his Maranello-Maxter and reached third place. “I wasted some time at the start because there was a bit of pushing and shoving, otherwise I think a vice champion title could have been conceivable. As for the team, they have done a good job on equipment development and I am very happy for this third place, which means another podium just a month after two consecutive podiums in the European KF1 Championship in Portugal.’
