The Qualifying is complete as the night was falling, but there was no overnight rain. For most the second session was slower than the first, except for those who have managed to adapt to the changing conditions and carburation such as Reguillon and Domenech.
Andrea Dale (CRG – Maxter) posted the best time with 47”578, without going on track in the second session. The European Champion, the Italian Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart – Vortex) following at 5 hundredths to Zdenek Groman (Maranello – Parilla). Underperforming in the first session, Loïc Réguillon managed an incredible time of 47”708 in a single lap! He took 4th which will make things more interesting for tomorrow’s heats.
Rowland was in 7th place, Foster-Jones in 8th, 10th was Suvanto ahead of the two Belgians Frijns and Luka. Good performance for Paul-Loup Chatin with a 20th place, who was not really satisfied. Guillaume Barbarin in 23rd, followed James Thorp. Jack Harvey was 31st after not having really been able to improve understanding between the Dunlop tyres and his chassis. Clement Bluy followed by a few milliseconds. Charles Lacaze did not take advantage of the 2nd session and was in 34th position.
Further down, we have William Benedetti in 51th, Zoel Amberg was 52nd, Miki Weckström, the leader of tests of the previous week, was 55th, Alex Fontana 57th, Sébastien Bailly was 58th and his teammate Julien Deschamps, 65th.
Needless to say, the list will provoke intense battles in the heats tomorrow morning, starting at 9:40: the stakes are high!
