Not all of the qualifying heats for the World Cup for KF2 are completed, there are 3 to run on Sunday morning. However, it is possible to report on potential and provisional favourites.
Flavio Camponeschi, European champion last month on a Tony Kart / Vortex, impressed again by winning all his races. Secondly, we can identify consistent competitors, as many quick drivers have crashed. Robert Foster-Jones seems well placed, regularly in 2nd place. Petri Suvanto, Oliver Rowland and James Thorp were winners of races and should not be far away. Loïc Réguillon has scored well in all his races, Jack Harvey is back in his usual form.
The French pilots, not always fast against the clock, have all had a good day with beautiful comebacks. Guillaume Barbarin was notably a superb 3rd in one of his heats, Clement Bluy was 5th, and there was a 6th for Julien Deschamps. Paul-Loup Chatin confirmed his position but is complaining. William Benedetti and Charles Lacaze were regularly placed near the top 10. As virtually none of them has experienced bad results for the moment,it is expected that we will see them all in the final.
Other competitors have shone while experiencing bad luck: Andrea Dale, Robin Frijns, Giaguaro Nero, Joel Johansson, Felice Tiene … all can still participate in the final with some chance of success given their potential speed on the track.
