What a season for Flavio Camponeschi and Tony Kart! After the World Championship, won by Marco Ardigò, the World Cup for KF2 was dominated by Camponeschi and green of Tony Kart. And how! Oliver Rowland completed the triumph of the manufacturer with his second taken from Zdenek Groman, who drove a good race but could not keep his lead at the end.
Frenchman Loic Réguillon was briefly close to the podium. While Camponeschi took off on the first lap, after the start he drove round Groman to run in second position for a few turns. Rowland recovered his place very quickly. Giaguaro Nero lost time in a clash which also affected Mirko Luciani, Adria Domenech and Zoel Amberg. Petri Suvanto lost places during an unfortunate maneuver. William Benedetti retired on the next lap.
On the 7th lap, Groman came close to Réguillon who could not resist him despite all his efforts. The trio they formed with Rowland animated the race at the front. Starting far back, Jack Harvey recovered slowly to the 17th place, but this was clearly not his day. The 5th place occupied by Tom Grice was coveted by the CRG duo of Felice Tiene and Sami Luka. After the halfway point, Groman proceeded to attack Rowland, and moved to second place.
Julien Deschamps was in the top eight for a moment thanks to an excellent start, which he has a talent for. Unfortunately his chassis did not stay on form throughout the race and he had to cede ground. Réguillon maintained his place, while Rowland attempted an attack on Groman 2 laps from the end. He resisted but had to concede ground by going over the grass, and it was the British driver who took the second place.
