In order to ensure the constant improvement of its performances Maxter, which has just concluded a very promising season, has chosen someone special: Jan Witteveen. This Dutchman has competition engines running in his blood!
His professional career in motorbike racing speaks for itself: after a debut at Sachs in Germany and at Bimota in Italy, he also worked for Gilera, then Cagiva, before being appointed technical manager at Aprilia from 1989 to 2004, where he achieved his well known successes. He has conquered 40 world championships, mainly in 125 and two-stroke 250.
Thanks to his huge experience, acquired in over thirty years of competitions and success, Jan Witteveen has taken up the reins of Maxter, where German engineer Roland Holzner, who allowed Maxter to return at the top in 2008 with KF engines, will continue his work. This reorganisation reflects the ambitions of the Italian brand for 2009…
