The Spaniard Victor Colome retained the lead after his victory in the pre-final, but Alex Baron remained on his heels. At the beginning of the race, the Swiss Michael Heche joined them for a great three-way fight. Thanks to a super start, Jo Hélias was in 4th position, followed by Enzo Guibbert, Nicolas Gonzales and Pascal Belmaaziz, who was very fast.
On the 4th lap, Baron attacked Colome who countered him in his wake. Heche took the opportunity to grab the second position. Two laps later, the Swiss driver’s attempted an attack on the leader but it did not materialize and Baron took 2nd place. Heche, in 3rd, made a rash move and visited the gravel: unfortunately he had to retire.
Meanwhile, Belmaaziz moved into 4th position and was threatening Hélias. He found an opening by outbraking him. Behind Hélias, Guibbert was pressuring Carlos Gil. Hampered by a clash at the start, Victor Sendin was already in 20th position. Guibbert, and then Gil, passed Helias. The Spanish attacked and immediately discarded Guibbert. Pierre Gasly posted the best lap in the race in a big climb that is already saaw him in 10th.
Baron was within two tenths of Colome after mid-race. He was clearly looking for the right place to overtake. Gil put pressure on Belmaaziz, who resisted very well. Colome managed to retain the lead until the flag and won the final ahead of Baron, Belmaaziz, Gil and Guibbert.
