Years pass by, but Davide Forè‘s motivation remains rock-solid. In his new 2009 team, he now feels perfectly at easy. Development work continues, so that the team can be at the top for a series of important rendezvous of the season, such as the European KZ1 Championship at Wackersdorf, in a few days time.
At Genk, for the WSK in KZ2, Davide drove again his gearbox CRG/Maxter, prepared by well-known French engine mechanic Patrick Savard. The driver and his kart were very fast during timed practice on a particularly demanding track, with 7th best time. He repeated his good performance in two out of three heats. Starting 14th in the pre-final, Davide gained ground in the rain and reached the 6th place in race, with very encouraging times for the final. After the first laps, he came very close to the podium, but then the track progressively dried and became less suitable for his set-up. What really matters, however, is that Davide kept his 6th place, the best result for CRG so far, achieved just when the race was turning into a real catastrophe.
