The weather is grey at Ostricourt on Saturday morning. A cool breeze sweeps the track and the clouds are low. At times, a slight drizzle refreshes the atmosphere: there’s no doubt that it’s autumn. The fuel mixture settings will not be easy.
In KZ2, the hierarchy was as normal from the start when Norman Nato (Intrepid / TM) set a 53”982 when his equipment was warmed up. His two opponents, Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) follow 3 tenths away from pole. Very relaxed as usual, Pierre Ragues (Sodi / TM) had the pleasure to compete in the Super Pole, one of his favorite moments, along with another Sodi driver, Eric Ramon.
There were more surprises in KF3. Tanguy Carel (FA Kart / Vortex) was the fastest when the action started, but Alex Baron (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the first to go below 58”. Pascal Belmaaziz then put everyone in their place by setting a succession of fastest laps until the end of the session, ending with a time of 57”037. One minute from the end, Victor Sendin (Birel / TM) took second ahead of Pierre Gasly (Sodi / Parilla). Baron finished 4th and Jonathan Helias (Tony Kart / Vortex) 5th from Hubert Anthoine (Tony Kart / Vortex).
The competition will be very tight in KF2 where the top 6 are within less than 2 tenths of a second. Clement Bluy (Tony Kart / Vortex) showed very quickly who was boss, and Vincent Fraïsse (Intrepid / TM) followed closely ahead of Loïc Réguillon (Sodi / Parilla) who couldn’t capture second place. But Sebastian Bailly (Tony Kart / Vortex) gradually increased his pace and finally took the fastest lap with 55”357. Bluy was second, Réguillon 3rd and Fraïsse 4th. There was a nice surprise with 5th position for Glen Keyaert (CRG / Maxter) in his return to competition.
Pole position went to Vincent Fontenille (Alpha / TM) in KZ 125 ahead of Amos Mechoulam (Kosmic / TM) and Enzo Brucoli (Birel / TM).
