The young Swiss driver Michael Heche has done well not to move towards cars this season. He finally took a win at Lonato to match his performance. Michael put his Intrepid / TM in 1st place in the final and the pre-final with a perfect command of the race. Two drivers gave him a hard time: the Spaniard Gerard Barrabeig (Birel / BMB), the original leader of the pre and the Dane Nicolaj Moller-Madsen (Energy / TM), the leader at the start in the final. On aggregated points, Barrabeig was up on the 2nd step of the podium and Moller-Madsen on the 3rd.
The French driver Vincent Fraïsse (Intrepid / TM) ran a great race finishing 4th in the final after progressing constantly. Nice rebound from Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 5th position ahead of Loïc Réguillon (Intrepid / TM) who was rapid and consistant. The Swiss Jeffrey Schmidt (Zanardi / Maxter) took a nice 7th place consistently ahead of the Polish Karol Basz (Birel / BMB) and Finland’s Teemu Suninen (Maranello / Maranello) who was on pole position after time trials. Jake Lloyd (Tony Kart / TM) completed the top 10.
