Kevin Susilo has become a real specialist of international races – in KF3 in 2008-2009 and in KF2 this season – by overcoming the difficulties of a young Indonesian who decides to move to Europe for a discipline as difficult as karting.
Very motivated and effectively supported by the DR Team, which was created by five-time World Champion Italian Danilo Rossi, Kevin keeps showing his ability to improve his level of performance, despite the difficulty of the stakes. “The passage from KF3 to KF2 requires even greater driver’s commitment. Technically it is more interesting and the driver can make a difference at this level, so it is highly motivating” he declared.
In timed qualifying, Kevin improves his standings race after race, especially in the WSK Euro Series, but the young Indonesian would not mind getting a little luckier, too… “In Zuera (Spain), the weekend started well, but I had many accidents during the qualifying heats: a bent axle after a collision, an engine problem and another accident in race. Pity, because I was 8th again in one heat, in timed qualifying, thanks to times very close to those of the best drivers. If I had achieved those same results in the other heats, I would have qualified easily, as I did in Lonato at the WSK round held at the end of March”.
Susilo will get his chance of revenge on 2nd May, at the qualifying round for the European Championship (Central region) in Wackersdorf (Germany).
