Now that there is only one meeting to go (Sarno) before the conclusion of the WSK Euro Series 2010, CRG leads the championship in two categories. Max Verstappen strengthened his advantage in KF3 after his excellent performance in Genk and Jonathan Thonon regained the lead in KZ1. The whole CRG Racing Team showed top-level performances.
Jonathan Thonon’s double success in KZ1 on the Genk track (Belgium) rewarded the hard work made by CRG over the last few weeks. At the top of his form, Jonathan had an ideal weekend, thanks to his equipment at the top. Nobody could stop his domination.
Delayed by a collision in his last heat, Verstappen did a great job reversing the situation and finished third in the pre-final and second in the final race. It was a decisive result in the context of the championship.
As for the Super KF, intense efforts by CRG are beginning to bear fruits: Arnaud Kozlinski went up as fast as a train from 24th to 3rd place in the pre-final. Only a minor technical problem prevented him from battling for the final victory. Davide Forè, Felice Tiene and Eddy Tinini also showed their skills in Belgium.
And last but not least, Michelle Gatting demonstrated once again the high performance level of her CRG/Maxter in KF2, with a second place in the pre-final. Victory might have not been out of reach, without the accident she suffered on the first bend.
