In the absence, surprisingly, of former winners of the Supernationals in KZ2, Jonathan Thonon and Bas Lammers, the 2010 competition is more open than usual. The American Gary Carlton, competitive in the WSK World Series, will defend the colors of his country at the same time as those of CRG with all the fire he hasin the face of strong European representation. Tec-Sav has a say in the result, as several times the winner of the race.
Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) is a good position among the favorites of the race in his third participation, assisted by his faithful teammate Pierre Ragues (Sodi / TM). Tony Kart delegated its two top drivers, Marco Ardigo and Rick Dreezen, plus Alessandro Piccini. Don’t forget Energy Corse America and Tony Lavanant who were a brilliant sixth last year, even if the KZ2 European Champion from 2008 is a bit short of running. He is joined by the promising Daniel Fuchs.
Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM) is on another new track, but this won’t scare the young Dutch champion, who has had an outstanding season. Intrepid has another female talent with Cyndie Allemann, while her brother Ken will participate on a Birel / Maxter alongside his friend Kevin Lüdi (Birel / TM). An eclectic driver, easily moving from Super KF to KZ, the Finn Simo Puhakka is planning to improve on his 9th in 2009. Finally, Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) arrived in Vegas fresh from his 3rd place in European KZ1.
American drivers in addition to Carlton are Ron White (Zanardi / Maxter), Alex Speed (GP / Maxter) and Fritz Leesmann (CRG / Maxter) in addition to car drivers Rapahel Matos (Zanardi / Maxter) from Indy Cars, and Brazilian Danilo Dirani (Mini Kart / TM), a former F3 driver, now in Formula Truck.
