Starting from pole position, the British driver Jack Aitken remained solid in the lead of the pre-final for Rotax Junior. But with the top four grouped in less than a second at the finish line, anything could still happen in the final. The Estonian Martin Rump seems to be the most dangerous opponent to Aitken, as he managed to climb from 9th to 2nd place.
He had a stormy battle with the Austrian Julian Wagner in 7th position. Another Briton, Ashley Hand, should also be watched, following his rise from 10th to 3rd place ahead of the Dutchman Dave Blom. As for the European Champion, the Dutch driver Joel Affolter, he climbed from 19th to 9th place.
Among the retirements were the Croatian Martin Kodric and the UAE driver, Edward Jones.
