The two strongmen of the KZ2 category are from the same team, Energy Corse. Rapid and consistent, Paolo De Conto and Joel Johansson have the same number of points with two wins and one second place each. Johansson has a small psychological advantage of having triumphed over his teammate and has taken pole position as well. The Rizzi brothers have done a good job on the TM engine.
Behind the duo, Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) was the most incisive of the competition, especially compared to his teammates with Tec Sav engines, which he doesn’t have. The Maxter factory engine allows the French driver to go into battle with some success.
Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM), still extremely fast, is in fourth position, with strong potential. In 5th, Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) remained in place throughout the heats, but we know he is used to the pressure of the finals, he has the highest rating for victory.
6th is Fabian Federer (CRG / TM), the winner of the 4 Stroke race at Monaco in 2008, and continues to fight at the front with some panache. The most consistent driver on Tony Kart / Vortex is Rick Dreezen and is in 7th place ahead of Mirko Torsellini (CRG / Maxter), Lucie Panackova (Intrepid / TM) and Antonio Piccioni (Formula K / TM), who lost a lot of time in his last race.
Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) is steadily rising, especially via overtaking. He is 17th, just ahead of Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) a victim of neglect, and Pierre Ragues (Sodi / Maxter). Cesetti (Birel / BMB) has a mountain to climb with 22nd ahead of another great figure in karting, Alessandro Piccini (TonyKart / Vortex) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) who has made up some of his handicap by winning brilliantly his final heat. Alexander Arrue (Righetti / TM) is the last qualifier.
