The track was still greasy for the start of the prefinal for KF2, but all the drivers were on slicks. Max Klinkby-Silver (Birel / BMB) started first followed by Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR / TM) and Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla). A big crash on the first lap meant the “slow” procedure was triggered.
Sam Snell (Intrepid / TM) was in third place ahead of Victor Sendin (Tony Kart / Vortex), Giovinazzi, Alex Albon (Intrepid / TM) and Karol Basz (RK / BMB). The race restarted on lap 6. Sendin took second place ahead of Giovinazzi, Snell and Baron. Giovinazzi took Sendin and Baron returned to 4th ahead of Albon, closely followed by Mark Litchfield (FA Kart / Maxter) and Basz.
On a very slippery track, the drivers took careful lines between wet and dry areas, with offs becoming numerous. Giovinazzi was in the lead before the halfway point, but Baron passed Basz, Sendin, Albon, Suninen and Lahaye, both doing well on the Maranello.
Baron and Basz were elbow to elbow. Sendin took Lahaye back for for 3rd place and Litchfield took 5th. With 6 laps to go, Baron took Basz who retaliated at the bottom of cricuit. Sami Luka (Energy / TM) was making a comeback in 8th position. The grip deteriorated, and the race director took out the red flag, 4 laps before the deadline. The victory went to Alex Baron with Karol Basz second, Victor Sendin 3rd, 4th Dylan Lahaye, Litchfield 5th.
