Guillaume De Ridder (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the favourite for the KF2 final, especially since he could understand why he was deprived of victory on Saturday to improve the set-up of his machine. But Victor Sendin (Tony Kart / Vortex) had no intention of letting his Belgian opponent escape. It was the same for Pascal Belmaaziz (DR / Parilla), who was very fast in the pre-final. Leo Roussel (Sodi / Parilla) also had an influence, while Enzo Guibbert (FA Kart / Vortex) was much quicker with new reeds.
De Ridder started first while Belmaaziz was in second position from Roussel and Sendin. Victor Compere (FA Kart / Vortex) was in 5th ahead of John Filippi (Exprit / Vortex) and Anthoine Hubert (Sodi / Parilla). The Belgian began to get away, Sendin attacked Roussel in 3rd. Filippi, in 5th, took Andrea Pizzitola (FA Kart / Vortex) on his ascent and Sendin also had to watch his back. In 7th position, Compere was now followed by Sebastien Bedoret (Sodi / Parilla) and Denis Dupont (Sodi / Parilla). Filippi increased the gap to Pizzitola and the pressure for 5th place but he didn’t let himself be intimidated. Guibbert was no longer in the race, this time a victim of an engine problem. The Sodis of Baron and Hubert dropped out earlier.
The laps were very similar, except for 7th place which was now occupied by Kenny Vermeylen (Tecno / Parilla). Now De Ridder set the fastest time. An official held out the sign “last lap” so the race should not take long to complete. The final victory rewarded the superb performance of Guillaume De Ridder this weekend, and Pascal Belmaaziz was on the second step of the podium, confirming the form of hardware and driver, and Leo Roussel takes 3rd place.
