Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM), first on the outside line, missed the start, causing a collision seeking his place on the right side: Karol Basz (RK / BMB) stayed in the gravel trap and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) retired 4 laps later as a result of this incident. Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex) led the first lap ahead of Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla), Zdenek Groman (Kosmic / Vortex), Jordan Chamberlain (Intrepid / TM) and Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex).
But with a third lap of 47”212, De Vries took the first position, being 5-6 tenths quicker. In 7th, Albon drove an incredible 46”915 lap. Felice Tiene and Leo Roussel dropped back. De Vries and D’Agosto, 1.5” behind the leader, headed a group led by Groman including Chamberlain, Bailly and Albon.
De Vries continued to accelerate the pace, but there was also a great recovery from Albon who finished fourth from Bailly after both drivers had passed Chamberlain on the last lap. Another victory for De Vries, D’Agosto second and third Groman.
