The track for the ERDF Masters Kart is ready for the 20 “star” drivers and 10 “Junior” drivers. Colas, the maker of the track surface, on Wednesday laid the recyclable asphalt in the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
Sodikart also unloaded 35 electric Sodi STX racing karts they have made to be used for this weekend. 550 m long and 10 m wide, the ERDF Kart Masters track is ready to welcome the drivers on Saturday morning for the 1st test.
The company Colas, responsible for laying the asphalt, used this opportunity to use the latest techniques in environmental protection with a process that uses recycled materials from a site in Paris. Every effort was made to limit the consumption of materials and energy, reducing the emissions of greenhouse gas through a reduced application temperature by 40 ° compared to a traditional asphalt.
On completion, there is 10 tons of asphalt and 150 tons of sand and gravel, which will be reused on another project in Paris by the Colas Group.
