The Portuguese driver Filipe Albuquerque moved to provisional pole in the time trials at Bercy for the Stars by setting a time more than 0.65” from Jules Bianchi with a time of 30”989. Nicolas Hamilton was nicely placed in third position ahead of Robert Wickens. Despite a good start in the first sector, Olivier Lombard unfortunately lost time in the end of his lap. Although he had a dramatic finish, Tristan Vautier stayed at the back. Jean-Eric Vergne spun in the warm-up lap, but he was already fourth after his first flying lap. Indeed, he was close to 4 / 10 ahead of Albuquerque and stole provisional pole with 30”624. Adrian Sutil set the fastest first sector but ended up slower. Julien Jousse threw all his strength into the battle and secured the second fastest lap, 30”789, 0.165 ahead of JEV.
Sebastien Loeb excited the stands at Bercy with the fourth fastest time in front of Jules Bianchi. Gary Paffett then disrupted the hierarchy with his third fastest time. Romain Grosjean and performed superbly to move into second place. There was a great performance from Franck Montagny that heated up the room but instead of fighting for the pole he ended up with a 360 on the finish line. This is not the case for Sebastien Ogier who took the fifth fastesr time.
Jean-Eric Vergne retained pole position ahead of Romain Grosjean, Julien Jousse, Gary Paffett and Sebastien Ogier.
