Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) started in the wake of his team-mate Marco Ardigo at the lights in the final of KZ1. Kozlinski (PCR / TM) took 3rd place at the start ahead of Paolo De Conto (Birel / BMB), Bas Lammers (Praga / TM) and Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM). Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) lost a little time at the start and ended up 7th. Dreezen took the advantage from the third lap, passing Ardigo, while Lammers passed De Conto for 4th place. Thonon was back in 5th position ahead of the Italian.
Dreezen pulled out a small lead of 3/10 on Ardigo, Kozlinski released a little pressure to be within 6/10 of it. Lammers approached and passed the French on the sixth lap. Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) was in seventh ahead of Iglesias, Roberto Toninelli (Birel / BMB) and Yannick De Brabander (Formula K / TM). At halfway Thonon overcame Kozlinski for 4th position at the bottom end of the track.
Dreezen increased his lead lap after lap, and Ardigo would have to be wary of Thonon. But actually, he didn’t, as the Belgian disappeared on lap 10. It was looking like a double for Tony Kart and a 3rd place for Praga with Lammers. And this was what happened: Dreezen won by 5/10 ahead of Ardigo, himself to 2.3” from Lammers. Kozlinski finished fourth ahead of De Conto, De Brabander, Pex, Iglesias, Fore and Hajek.
