It was a hesitant start for several drivers in the KZ2 prefinal at Varennes, Maxime Roy (Tony Kart / TM) still retained the lead, but Pierre Ragues (Sodi / Maxter) was second, soon followed by Nolan Mantione (Birel / TM) and Cedric Goudant (Tony Kart / TM). Mathieu Gaillard (Energy / Maxter) fell down the standings.
Ragues retired, Julien Poncelet (Formula K / TM) was back in fifth position ahead of Thierry Delré (Sodi / TM) and James Glenister (Formula K / TM). Charles Fiault (Sodi / Maxter) was in 4th for a few laps position on the track, but not on the screens. However, he was credited with the fastest lap with 5.780s and 928 km / h average: Sodi, it runs like hell!
What is certain is that Roy won with Fiault second, Goudant 3rd and Mantione fourth.
