On a dry track, but tricky in places, the heats on Sunday morning caused some surprises. First of all, George Russell (Intrepid / Vortex) made a mistake at the first corner when he was leading. He struggled to get going again but still managed to reach 16th place. Then Dorian Boccolacci (Intrepid / TM) went off at the same hairpin by a competitor who went through the puddle. Dorian dropped to 26th but was 14th on the line. Santino Ferrucci (Energy / TM) took another win and captured pole position. Alessio Piccini (Kosmic / Vortex), Connor Jupp (Energy / Vortex) and Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) were the other winners this morning.
The unofficial Kartcom clipboard, while awaiting possible penalties, shows that Jupp is on pole, 2nd is Piccini, third is Cunati (Top Kart / Parilla), fourth Palou (CRG / BMB), 5th Aston (Intrepid / TM), 6th Russell, 7th Kodric, 8th Ferrucci, 9th Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex) and 10th Marijn Kremers. Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) qualified in 15th position, Naud (Formula K / TM) in the 16th, Besancenez (Sodi / Parilla) 19th, Stroll (Zanardi / Parilla) 26th, Mazepin (Zanardi / Parilla) 27th, Lehouck (Sodi / Parilla) and 32nd Bécamel (Kosmic / Parilla) 34th.
