Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM), Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter), Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex), were the leading trio on the first lap in the KZ1 final. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) was missing from the leading drivers, in ninth. Bas Lammers (Praga / Parilla) was ousted at the first corner. Simo Puhakka (PCR / TM) moved up to fourth from Patrik Hajek (Praga / TM), Roberto Toninelli (Birel / BMB) and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex). Thonon retired early on the second lap with a mechanical problem. Pex was in front of Convers and Puhakka. Hajek was closely followed by Ardigo, followed by Federer. Abbasse didn’t gain any more places.
Pex consolidated his lead, Convers was in front of a small group including Puhakka, Hajek, and further back Ardigo and Federer. Dreezen moved up again to seventh, close to Federer. There was an exciting battle in front of the stand between Hajek and Puhakka then Ardigo closed up and passed to take third position. We saw an absorbing fight for 5th place between Puhakka, Federer and Dreezen. The Belgian passed the Finn on lap 16. Lammers attacked Kozlinski to take 8th just before the end.
Pex took a great victory in front of Ardigo and Convers. Hajek was fourth, Dreezen fifth, Puhakka 6th.
