The track dried quickly in the strong wind, and the weaker sun. Sébastien Bailly (Swiss Hutless / TM) dominated the KF2 prefinal at the start, while Victor Compere (Kosmic / Vortex) moved to second position ahead of Guillaume De Ridder (Kosmic / Vortex), Paul Boutonnet (Tony Kart / Parilla) and Nicolas Gonzales (DR / Vortex). Pascal Belmaaziz (DR / Vortex) went off the track and retired after hitting a banner. Boutonnet went on the attack and captured third, then second place ahead of De Ridder and Compere. Thibaut Haublin (Kosmic / Vortex) was fifth from Remy Deguffroy (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Benoit Philipps (Kosmic / Parilla). Nicolas Gonzales and Valentin Moineault (Tony Kart / Vortex), caught in a collision, were no longer in the race.
Boutonnet was fast approaching the leader, Bailly, but the Belgian hit the gas at the halfway point. The top 4 were clearly in front of Deguffroy, fifth, then Haublin and Kenny Marques (Kosmic / Vortex). Boutonnet returned again to Bailly, who was suddenly slower, and passed at the beginning of the 10th lap. It wasnt over for 3rd place with the return of Compere directly behind De Ridder. Compere attacked and passed on lap 12. Boutonnet won the race 1.7” ahead of Bailly, Compere 3rd, De Ridder 4th, Deguffroy 5th.
