Just two weeks after Jordon Lennox-Lamb’s world title in KZ2 at Sarno, CRG kept the momentum going in KF2 with a fantastic one-two-three finish of the black chassis at Zuera. Felice Tiene won the World Cup preceding Max Verstappen and Jordon Lennox-Lamb, and all three of them largely dominated the competition, while Tom Joyner joined the triumph of the Desenzano brand by placing his LH chassis -which is produced in the same manufacturing line – in 4th position.
Either with BMB engines prepared by KVS or with the TM used by Verstappen, CRG drivers monopolised the attention during the world meeting of Zuera. The CRG boys set, and by far, the highest number of laps in the lead, won all the heats, the pre-final and the final, and thrashed rivals, in addition to engaging in a fierce sporting battle.
Felice Tiene brilliantly drove his CRG/BMB to the top step of the podium, after gaining the upper hand over his team mates already in the pre-final. The Dutch driver Max Verstappen (CRG/TM) responded to the attack, but due to a difficult start on the outside line, he lost some time at the beginning of the final, while the Briton Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG/BMB) took third place in KF2 after winning in the 125 gearbox class.
Happy to celebrate this historic event, the CRG team cannot help but look with optimism to the World KF1 Championship meeting, to be held at Macau in a month’s time.
