With a temperature close to 24 °, it was like summer at the 7 lakes of Castelletto. The Qualifying for the WSK Final Cup started with 48 competitors in KF3. Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) set the fastest time of the first group on the last lap, 48” 035, 3/100 ahead of Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Dan Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla) by 5/100. The results were surprising for some competitors like Lance Stroll (Zanardi / Parilla) in 10th by almost 3/10 or Dorian Boccolacci (ART GP / Parilla) 17th bymore than 4/10. Julien Darras (Tony Kart / Parilla) crashed with Lorandi then was hit from behind early in the session: so no time for him … Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) dominated the second group with a best lap of 48” 096, then Niko Kari (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Dalton Sargeant (Tony Kart / Vortex) by a tenth, and a good group of drivers on 48” 3. The pole in KF3 went to Sitnikov, from Lorandi, Ticktum and Ilott.
There was a smaller entry KF2, 29 drivers on the track only, but there was good fight ahead in the first session between Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla), Thiago Vivacqua (Zanardi / Parilla), Guazzaroni, Lavelli and Moretti. Leclerc set the fastest time of the first session with 47” 565 from Vivacqua and Moretti. The second session was much faster: Dennis Olsen (Energy / TM), Matteo Viganò (Top Kart / Parilla) and John Norris (Mach 1/TM) fighting with 47” 4. The fastest in the group was Vigano, on 47” 365 from Olsen, 47” 399, Norris, Marco Maestranzi (PCR / Parilla) and Niclas Nylund (CRG / BMB). Overall, Vigano was first, Olsen 2nd, Norris 3rd, 4th Maestranzi, Leclerc 5th, Nylund 6th and Vivacqua 7th.
In 60 Mini, there were 39 drivers, the top three in Session 1 monopolized the top three places overall in Qualifying. Pole went to the driver known as Skeed (Top Kart / Parilla) with 54” 802, ahead of Sebastian Fernandez (Tony Kart / LKE) and Lorenzo Colombo (Top Kart / LKE). Fourth position went to a girl, Marta Garcia Lopez (Lenzo / LKE), followed by Devlin De Francesco (Top Kart / LKE) and Eliseo Martinez (Hero / LKE).
Finally in KZ2, four drivers held pole position in turn, but Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) improved further at the end of the session and set the fastest lap of 46” 599, ahead of Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) very close, Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) and Bas Lammers (Praga / Parilla) who was slightly behind. Henri Kokko (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fifth ahead of Riccardo Negro (DR / TM).
