Entries open from Monday 10th December for the 18th edition of the Winter Cup – in schedule on 17th February 2013 – and the preparations for the forthcoming racing season on the South Garda Karting circuit are already in full swing: next year there is a schedule already full of international events.
Entries for the season opening classical event on the South Garda Karting Circuit, the Winter Cup, officially open on Monday 10th December and close on 14th January 2013. The race is in the CIK-FIA international calendar and includes the KF Junior, KF and KZ2 categories. The tyres will be the ones the International Federation will establish to use in the forthcoming season.
As usual, the Winter Cup represents a unique and fundamental occasion for all the most important constructors and the major international teams: they will be able to challenge each others in a top level race and to test their new technical equipment for 2013 season.
Last year the Winter Cup was won by the Belgian Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone), in KF2 by Max Verstappen (Intrepid-Tm-Vega) and in KF3 by George Russell (Intrepid-Tm-Vega), then all great protagonists of the international racing season.
Traditionally, the Winter Cup opens the series of races run on the Italian circuit near Brescia (northern Italy). During the first part of the season the racetrack will be the venue of the double appointment of the 24th “Primavera” Trophy (which, from this year, is an international race), in schedule on 24th February and 3rd March, besides the 24th Andrea Margutty Trophy on 10th March 2013.
