The usual scenario was repeated with Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) making the best start in the first race of the day in KZ2 but Max Verstappen (CRG / TM) was back quickly and took the lead to go on to victory. For 3rd place, Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) was the best contender from Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla), while Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) was ahead of Fabian Federer (CRG / Modena) in 5th position. Although he started well, Bas Lammers (Praga / Parilla) was losing ground and finished 9th from Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / TM). Charles Leclerc (ART GP / TM) was eliminated after heavy braking which then caused an accident.
Max Verstappen retained the top spot at the start of the second heat by controlling Ban Hanley. The British driver retired on the second lap. Riccardo Negro thus recovered the second place ahead of Patrik Hajek, Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM), Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) and Paolo De Conto. Charles Leclerc (ART GP / TM) climbed slowly from his last position on the grid. Dale and De Conto clashed, with a retirement for Dale and De Conto dropping to 16th. Enrico Bernardotto (Maranello / TM) made an appearance in fifth position ahead of Fabian Federer and Jeremy Iglesias, followed by Sinan Van Der Raad (CRG / TM). Verstappen won the race ahead of Negro, Pex, Hajek and Federer.
