Max Verstappen and Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) went head to head on the first lap of the final in KZ1 ahead of Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) who made a very good start, Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex). Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) made far from the best start of his career, Jérémy Iglesias (Lenzo / LKE) also lost places in the first few meters. The race was stopped on the 3rd lap: Kozlinski (Birel / TM) was hit during a spectacular crash. He made contact with the driver ahead of him, Henri Kokko (Tony Kart / Vortex) and got hit by the driver following. He was taken off on a stretcher, but the latest news is that all is well.
At the new start, Hanley quickly got the better of Pex and kept in touch with Verstappen, who was still leading. De Conto passed Pex and Hajek (Praga / Parilla) was fifth, Rick Dreezen was 6th and Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) 7th. After the halfway point, Pex was pressing De Conto, Hanley wasn’t left behind by Verstappen. Dreezen and Iglesias were passed by Ardigo on lap 13, Charles Leclerc (ART GP / TM) got into the top 10. Pex eventually took 3rd place from De Conto.
Victory went to Max Verstappen, making up for his deviation in the second heat, ahead of Ben Hanley and Jorrit Pex. De Conto finished 4th, and there were changing positions for the rest of the pack on the last lap with Iglesias 5th, Hajek 6th, Ardigo 7th.
