With Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex), Lance Stroll (Zanardi / TM), Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex), Prefinal 2 promises a good show, even more so with Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla) seventh and Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM) 9th, needing to return to the lead. A few false starts and a red flag later, the race is on.
Nielsen was the leader from pole, Stroll attacked on the second lap, but the Danish replied. Basz moved up to third followed by Sam Snell (Energy / TM), Tiene, Boccolacci and Kevin Rossel (Tony Kart / Vortex). Snell fell to eighth on lap 3. Callum Ilott (Zanardi / TM) was heckled at the start and dropped to 25th, Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex) was last. Valentin Moineault ( ART GP / TM) moved up to 14th. Nielsen escaped irretrievably from the fourth lap, Basz went second, Boccolacci fourth from Mark Litchfield (Kosmic / TM) and Tiene. Fighting around the 13th position were Heinonen, Nylund and Moineault .
Boccolacci took Tiene and returned to Stroll, in third on lap 10 of the race. Tiene took Boccolacci, Litchfield was in his wheeltracks. The battle allowed Stroll gain some space. Two laps from the finish, Boccolacci returned to 4th from Tiene. Litchfield attacked Tiene on the last lap. Nielsen won the race with the fastest lap ahead of Basz and Stroll, Boccolacci 4th, Litchfield 5th, Tiene 6th. Moineault qualified in 13th place and Corberi was 16th. Ilott failed to get through in 20th position, Kodric retired.
