The qualifying heats of the KZ World Championship started with groups B and C. Max Verstappen (CRG / TM) attacked Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) so started on pole and the Italian also succumbed to Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) and Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM). There was a big climb for Charles Leclerc (ART GP / TM) who was 5th at halfway to Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM). The fastest on the track, Tiene took 3rd place from De Conto who replied while Hanley in second, attacked Verstappen but he was still able to win the race. De Conto was third, Tiene 4th, Leclerc 5th, Abbasse 6th and Ragues (Sodi / TM) 7th who gained over six places in this heat. The race saw big names retire like Yannick De Brabander (Maranello / TM), Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla), who was pushed and Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex).
