The weather is beautiful on Sarno, despite some high clouds, and warm at more than 25° when the KF Junior drivers went out for Qualifying.
Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / TM) and Guiliano Raucci (Energy / TM) were the first at the top of the ranking in the first timed session, Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) was third with 2′ from Alexander Vartanyan ( Tony Kart / Vortex) who was then inserted into 3rd place. Norris took second, Niko Kari (FA Kart / Vortex) 4th from Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart / LKE) and Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex). Pole therefore went to Raucci with 1’07” 514, 7/100 better than Norris, and Vartanyan was third at 0.165″. Giuliano Alesi (Tony Kart / Parilla) finished eighth ahead of Matteo Raspatelli (Kosmic / Parilla) and Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart / Vortex).
Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) moved quickly to the front of the second group from Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart / Vortex) before Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) set a super time. He would not be beaten with 1’07” 192, the best so far. Pulcini was closer by 0.125” from 0.249” and Sitnikov closed on Travisanutto and Georgy Tamachanov (Tony Kart / BMB). Gabriel Aubry (FA Kart / TM) was not able to improve since the last free practice session, and was only 17th.
Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart / TM) dominated the last session ahead of Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) and Logan Sargeant (Tony Kart / Vortex). Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) joined his elder brother in third position in the last lap. Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart / Vortex) was next then Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Vortex) in sixth posiiton. Bryan Elpitiya (Energy / TM) finished eighth ahead of Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex).
Pole in the category went to Shwartzman ahead if Daruvala, Alessio Lorandi 3rd, Leonardo 4th, Raucci 5th, Pulcini 6th, Norris 7th, Sitnikov 8th, Vartanyan 9th, and Travisanutto 10th. Elpitiya was ahead of Alesi in 25th which is major progress.
