The front row was Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart / TM) and Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) for the second pre-final of the KFJ World Championship at Sarno, followed by Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Petru Florescu (Tony Kart / Vortex). The sky was gradually growing overcast, but was dry for now. Shwartzman took the lead, behind Giuliano Raucci (Energy / TM) who made a very good start, and the battle started strongly for 3rd place between Florescu, Gabriel Sereia (Birel / Parilla), Daruvala, Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Vortex) and Mick Betsch (Tony Kart / Vortex), also well underway.
Raucci took the lead on the second lap, closely followed by Shwartzman, Daruvala was ahead of Florescu in third position and there were two tight duels when Sasakorn Chaimongkol (Kosmic / TM) climbed into 6th place, then Sereia dropped to ninth, while Shwartzman regained the lead and Daruvala third. Betsch was having a bad time in 27th position. Chaimongkol recovered 5th place ahead of Lessennes and Mazepin. On the last lap, Raucci went on the attack and won the race ahead of Daruvala and Shwartzman. Lessennes finished 4th at 4” off the winner ahead of Chaimongkol, Florescu, Mazepin and Bonduel.
